The renewal project includes the construction of a shopping centre of 32.000 m² GLA, the layout of a large car park of 1,300 spaces, as well as the reorganisation and restoration of much of the rue Spintay, one of the main commercial arteries. The plan also includes the construction and reorganisation of housing (10,000 m²) in the town centre, attracting new inhabitants and guaranteeing a social mix. This ambitious multifunctional project, which straddles a stretch of the Vesdre, will also create new intra-urban links between the northern and southern neighbourhoods of the town.
